The Ministry of Health is supporting improved transportation for seniors to help them maintain meaningful social connections and independence in their local communities.

People living on the North Shore will soon have better access to team-based everyday health care with the opening of the new North Vancouver Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC).

People in Sooke will soon have better access to primary care, with the expansion of team-based care in the West Coast Family Medical Clinic.

People in Prince George will soon have better access to team-based everyday health care, with the new Prince George Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) anticipated to open in June 2019 and the launch of a primary-care network (PCN).  

The Province, together with local partners, is establishing the Medical Arts Urgent and Primary Care Centre in Nanaimo to give people in the region increased access to team-based primary care.

People in Burnaby will soon have increased access to team-based health care with the launch of three primary-care networks (PCNs) and the opening of the new Burnaby Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) in May 2019.

Government is transforming everyday health care for people living in Fraser northwest communities by establishing four networks of team-based primary-care providers, which will bring additional resources and strengthened support to the region.

Residents in Vancouver’s downtown and West End now have improved access to team-based urgent primary care with the opening of the City Centre Urgent Primary Care Centre.
