People who use transit in Kelowna will see new services being added between University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO), Rutland and downtown, and additional trips on many other routes, as well as improvements to the Mission area and an expanded taxi-supplement program.

This summer, a section of Highway 33 will be repaved, creating a safer, smoother riding surface for drivers, including those travelling to the Big White Ski Resort.

Drivers are advised that the intersection of Old Vernon Road and Acland Road will be closed, day and night, from Monday, July 2 at 8 p.m., to Friday, July 13, at 6 a.m.

Drivers are advised to expect short nighttime delays from Highway 33 to Edwards Road, as construction has resumed on the Highway 97 six-laning project.

Drivers are advised to expect short delays on Westside Road, from La Casa to Muir Road, as construction begins next week on this safety improvement in West Kelowna.

Motorists are advised that construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Old Vernon Road and Acland Road will take place from Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. to Nov. 24 at 12 p.m. Old Vernon Road will be closed at the intersection, 24/7, until construction is complete.

Motorists are advised that construction of Findlay Road at Highway 97 will take place from Oct. 15–21, 2017, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
