The Province is providing $1.35 million to the BC Cattlemen's Association (BCCA) as this year's portion of a $10-million, six-year highway and railroad livestock fencing plan, announced Premier Christy Clark.

Over the past week the Prince George Fire Centre has responded to seven new forest fires all caused by human activity. Six of these fires have been extinguished and the seventh is being patrolled to ensure it does not flare up again. All fires were human caused, therefore all were preventable.
