The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident that occurred near Shawnigan Lake on July 18, 2013.

Attorney General and Minister of Justice Suzanne Anton has issued the following statement:

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of two men who died as the result of a motor vehicle incident in Campbell River on July 13, 2013.

The BC Coroners Service would like to reiterate that Mr. Monteith died of a mixed-drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.
