Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs and Economic Growth, has issued the following statement on the release of Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey for August 2025:

Surrey’s ongoing infrastructure expansion continues with Clayton Heights Secondary adding 1,000 new student seats for families.

A new school and two new additions are now open for K-12 students in Langley, bringing more than 900 new seats to the district, with thousands more on the way.

As post-secondary students prepare to head back to class for the fall semester, students and staff are reminded of the resources available to prevent and respond to overdoses on campus.

Community Gaming Grants are empowering organizations, artists and cultural workers by strengthening arts and culture programming and services to increase opportunities for people in British Columbia to participate in the arts and culture sector.

Families in 12 communities throughout the province are benefiting from 640 new child care spaces on school grounds, expanding access to high-quality child care for young children, as well as before- and after-school care.
