Promoting opportunities for British Columbia-China collaboration in wood construction, tourism and energy was the focus of Premier John Horgan’s visit to Beijing, which also included a wood and green-building policy forum.

Premier John Horgan kicked off his inaugural mission to Asia with a visit to British Columbia’s sister province Guangdong, China, to strengthen relationships and expand markets for the tourism, clean energy and technology sectors.

Premier John Horgan departed today to Guangzhou, China, as part of a 10-day mission to China, South Korea and Japan to strengthen economic and cultural ties with three of B.C.’s largest trading partners, expand markets, and create good jobs for people throughout B.C.

Sixteen exceptional civic leaders will be appointed to the Order of British Columbia, the Province's highest form of recognition, Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon, chancellor of the Order, announced today.
