More work will get underway this spring through Chase on the next phase of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) four-laning, a project that is increasing safety, reliability and efficiency for people living and travelling in the region.

To improve the safety, reliability and capacity of Highway 1, construction of a new bridge crossing at Quartz Creek will soon begin, benefiting people who travel on the Trans-Canada Highway near Golden.

Work is progressing well on the Chase Creek Road to Chase West project, which expands the Trans-Canada Highway near the Village of Chase from two to four lanes, making travel safer for people and more efficient for trade.

People travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway between Glacier National Park and Golden will see work start this spring to replace the bridge crossing at Quartz Creek.

A Delta company will begin work this fall to expand the Trans-Canada Highway through Salmon Arm from two to four lanes and build a new Salmon River Bridge.

Construction is now finished on three more kilometres of upgrades that will improve safety and reliability on the Trans-Canada Highway, announced the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and B.C.’s Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone.
