Following the close of consultation on the future of the Balfour inland ferry terminal, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will continue to do further work on the community’s preferred option, which is to retain the terminal at Balfour.

Work is now complete on a project to resurface Upper Fraser Road near Prince George.

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone and Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development Peter Fassbender have issued the following statement on Canada’s $81-billion infrastructure funding announcement:

The Province is launching engineering work for Highway 4 corridor upgrades and safety improvements, following a review of the Highway 4 Horne Lake Connector business case, which concluded that an alternative route between Port Alberni and Highway 19 is not financially feasible.

Safety improvements are now underway for the Summit Drive/Notre Dame Drive exit ramp in Kamloops, said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone.
