Columbia River Treaty

Final Columbia River Treaty Review Technical Studies Report

A number of technical studies were undertaken by BC Hydro in support of the Province’s Treaty review. The studies included computer modelling to analyse the impacts of future Treaty scenarios. A draft of the technical studies report was posted on the Columbia River Treaty Review website in March 2013 for comment. Basin residents also had an opportunity to review the study results and discuss details with BC Hydro staff at the March 2013 Columbia River Treaty Review Conference in Castlegar. As a resulted of comments from Basin residents, First Nations and the Fish and Wildlife Technical Committee, two additional scenarios were analyzed. These addendum studies were posted to the Treaty Review website for comment and were also reviewed with Basin residents during the November community consultation sessions. The feedback received resulted in a final version of the Columbia River Treaty Review Technical Studies Report. This final version, which incorporates the addendum studies, is now available on the Treaty Review website at: http://blog.gov.bc.ca/columbiarivertreaty/review/additional-information/
