Columbia River Treaty

Edition:

November Community Consultation Sessions

In November 2012, the Provincial Columbia River Treaty Review team conducted workshops in eight communities in Phase 2 of consultations with Columbia Basin residents around the future of the Columbia River Treaty. At the workshops, the team asked for feedback from Columbia Basin residents about potential trade-offs between the identified local interests and potential future Treaty scenarios.

The November 2012 Community Consultation Summary report outlines the feedback expressed by Basin residents and is organized by community: Jaffray, Creston, Revelstoke, Golden, Valemount, Nelson, Trail and Nakusp. Key interests - topics that were raised in all or most communities - are explored in the latter part of the report.

The report, together with the material and presentations from the community sessions can be viewed on the Columbia River Treaty Review website.
