Columbia River Treaty Classroom Project

The Columbia River Treaty Review Team is very excited to announce Allison Dickhout is the successful candidate of their recent call for proposals to create and deliver an engaging classroom presentation on the Columbia River Treaty. Allison will be developing approximately 40 minutes of information and activities that will link renewable hydro electricity to the dams and reservoirs developed as a result of the Columbia River Treaty and can be used to help meet the current prescribed learning outcomes for B.C. Grade 6 Science: Electricity. The free classroom presentations for Columbia Basin schools will begin in early spring.

Teachers, send your questions or reserve a presentation for your class by emailing: columbiarivertreaty@gov.bc.ca. More information on the Columbia River Treaty Review’s youth engagement can be found at: http://blog.gov.bc.ca/columbiarivertreaty/youth-engagement/
