A series of prescribed burns is planned for the Bevel Creek, Ospika River, Tobin Lake and Mt. Moodie areas in the Mackenzie Natural Resource District from May 1 to May 31, 2015, weather conditions permitting.

The Prince George Fire Centre has issued an area restriction for the forested area around the Tenakihi-Mesilinka fire, effective at 2 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, August 1, 2014.

The Prince George Fire Centre has issued an area restriction for the forested area around the Red Deer Creek fire located 61 kilometres southeast of Tumbler Ridge, effective at noon Pacific Daylight Time on Monday, July 21, 2014.

Effective at noon Pacific Time on Friday, July 11, 2014, open fires will be prohibited in the Prince George Fire Centre, with the exception of the Fort Nelson Fire Zone, to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.
